Overall Objective

NEUROSES overall objective is to combine cutting-edge technology in the High-Voltage engineering, Materials science and Applied chemistry, for the development of Nanofluids for Power Transformers liquid insulation providing, high dielectric strength, increased thermal conductivity and power dissipation, high endurance during lifetime lightning events leading to innovative, safer, robust and efficient power systems.

Innovation

NEUROSES innovation lies in the development of:

A Nanofluid capable to fully replace mineral oils having:

  1. Enhanced dielectric strength under steady state condition
  2. Increased lightning impulse performance
  3. Improved thermal response by increasing the thermal conductivity of the liquid.
  4. Long life stability, in absence of agglomeration and sedimentation through the lifetime of the dielectric, by employing advanced in-situ surface modification and functionalization techniques
